Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our PVC compound pellets -- from product selection to shipping.

General Questions

3 questions
What is PVC compound pellets?
PVC compound pellets are formulated rigid or flexible polyvinyl chloride raw materials, mixed with PVC resin, plasticizers, stabilizers, lubricants and other additives. They are processed into uniform granular form for direct extrusion, injection, calendering and blow molding.
What are the main types of PVC pellets you supply?
We supply flexible PVC granules (for footwear, hoses, wires, soft profiles) and rigid PVC compound (for bottles, pipe fittings, window profiles, shrink film). We also provide customized grades based on customer requirements.
What is the raw material origin of your PVC pellets?
We adopt virgin ethylene-based PVC resin (SG-3 / SG-4 / SG-5 / SG-8) as base material -- no recycled materials for standard premium grades. Recycled mixed PVC pellets are available upon customer's special request.

Application & Grade Selection

3 questions
Which grade is suitable for PVC heat shrink film/bottle?
Please choose our special PVC shrink film compound pellets. This grade features high shrinkage rate, stable shrinkage performance, low post-shrinkage and good printing adaptability.
Can your PVC compounds be used for window profiles?
Yes. We have special UPVC granules to make window profiles, which have modified characteristics like UV-resistance, impact resistance and no deformation.
Are your products suitable for the wire & cable industry?
We have dedicated cable-grade PVC grains, with good insulation, weather resistance and flame retardancy, widely used for wire insulation and sheath applications.

Product Performance & Technical Index

6 questions
What is the density of your PVC compounds?
  • Flexible PVC: approx. 1.15 ~ 1.66 g/cm³
  • Rigid PVC: approx. 1.35 ~ 1.70 g/cm³
Will the plasticizer migrate out easily?
Our premium grades use high molecular weight plasticizers like DINP, DOTP and DOP. The migration rate is extremely low, which effectively avoids surface oil precipitation and deinking issues.
How about the thermal stability during processing?
We add high-efficiency composite stabilizers. The granules can withstand normal processing temperatures (160-180°C) without yellowing. Under 200°C heat testing, they can maintain stability for 30-40 minutes.
Do I need to dry the pellets before production?
Normally no drying is needed. If the pellets have been stored in a high-humidity environment for a long time, please dry at 60-80°C for 1-2 hours before use.
Can I mix your PVC pellets with other brands' materials?
Not recommended. Different formulas may cause incompatibility, leading to poor plasticization, uneven surface and unstable physical properties.
Does this material work for high-speed production lines?
Yes. The PVC compounds have uniform particle size and good fluidity, making them suitable for high-speed extrusion and film production lines.

Quality & Certification

4 questions
Do you provide quality inspection reports?
Yes. We can offer COA (Certificate of Analysis), TDS (Technical Data Sheet), raw material report and production test data for each batch.
Do you have food contact certification?
Our food-grade PVC granules meet relevant food contact standards. Certification documents can be provided on request.
Are your products environmentally friendly?
Standard products comply with RoHS requirements. We can produce non-phthalate grades for special environmental protection demands.
What is your quality control standard?
Strict 100% inspection during production. Each batch is sampled to test physical properties, appearance, moisture and formulation stability before delivery.

Packaging, Storage & Shipment

5 questions
What is your packaging specification?
Standard packing: 25 kg per woven bag / PE bag. Customized packaging and logo printing are acceptable.
How should PVC pellets be stored correctly?
Store in a dry, cool and ventilated warehouse, away from direct sunlight, high temperature and moisture. Seal the bags after use to avoid dust and moisture absorption.
What is the shelf life?
Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is 12 months.
What is your delivery lead time?
  • Regular stock orders: within 3-7 working days
  • Customized formula orders: 7-15 working days based on quantity
What shipping terms can you accept?
We support EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, CIP and other international trade terms.

Common Problems & Solutions

3 questions
Products turn yellow during processing -- what should I do?

Reason: Processing temperature too high or insufficient thermal stability.

Solution: Lower the processing temperature and check whether the equipment temperature control is abnormal.

PVC compound is difficult to plasticize -- how to resolve?

Reason: Low fluidity or improper temperature setting.

Solution: Appropriately raise the processing temperature; do not mix with other materials.

White spots and crystal points appear on finished products -- what causes this?

Reason: Raw material impurity, poor mixing or damp pellets.

Solution: Use dry pellets and keep the production environment clean.
